Green Beret Congressman: Elite Warriors Deserve to Carry Anywhere
Rep. Pat Harrigan's bill would let Delta Force operators and Navy SEALs carry concealed in every state—including California, New York, and Illinois.
Rep. Pat Harrigan (R-NC) just introduced the **Special Operations Forces Concealed Carry Act**—a bill that would extend national concealed-carry rights to active-duty and honorably discharged special operators across every branch of the U.S. military, in every state in the union.
No carve-outs. No permission slips from anti-gun governors. Fifty states, one standard.
The bill defines a "qualified special operator" as anyone serving or having served at paygrade E5 through E9, W1 through W5, or O1 through O10 in a special operations role. That means Army Special Forces, Delta Force, NCOs, combat medics, Navy SEALs, and their counterparts in every other branch are covered.
**These are the most vetted, most trained, most tested human beings on the planet.** And right now, New York, California, and Illinois treat them like criminals for wanting to protect their own families off-base.
Harrigan isn't theorizing. He served in the 75th Ranger Regiment and Special Forces before winning his North Carolina seat. He knows exactly what these operators carry downrange—and exactly what they're told to leave at the door when they come home.
"These are the most highly trained warriors on the planet," Harrigan said. "The idea that a bureaucrat in Sacramento or Albany gets to decide whether a Special Forces Master Sergeant can protect his own family is absurd."
Hard to argue with that. Watch anti-gun lawmakers try anyway.
This isn't a sweeping shall-issue overhaul—it's a clean, surgical bill aimed at a specific, politically bulletproof group of Americans. And that's exactly what makes it so dangerous for the gun-control crowd.
Every Democrat who votes no will have to stand at a microphone and explain why they trusted that Special Forces Master Sergeant with a sniper rifle in a hostile foreign country—but won't trust him with a concealed pistol at a Little League game in New Jersey.
**That's the vote they'll own.**
Contact your Representative now and demand they co-sponsor the Special Operations Forces Concealed Carry Act. These warriors cleared every standard this country could throw at them. The least we can do is stop letting anti-gun state legislatures treat them like second-class citizens the moment they come home.
Watch this bill move—and watch who lines up to kill it. That list will tell you everything you need to know.
