Congress Moves to Give Special Forces Nationwide Carry Rights
GOP bill would let elite military vets and active-duty operators carry concealed in any state — no exceptions
A Republican congressman has introduced legislation granting nationwide concealed-carry rights to eligible veterans and active-duty Special Forces personnel, cutting through the patchwork of restrictive state laws that currently leave trained operators defenseless the moment they cross the wrong state line.
Think about that. The same warriors who neutralized threats overseas face potential criminal liability for carrying a firearm in anti-gun states like California or New York. That's not a policy. That's an insult.
Newsweek confirmed the bill would override state-level restrictions that vary wildly across jurisdictions. Translation: Gavin Newsom and Kathy Hochul no longer get to disarm the men and women who kept this country safe.
This is exactly the kind of federal 2A expansion that makes the gun-grabber crowd nervous — and rightfully so. If Congress acknowledges that Special Forces members are uniquely qualified to carry anywhere, it strengthens the broader argument that all law-abiding Americans deserve the same respect nationwide.
The bill also delivers a direct challenge to the left's favorite lie — that more armed citizens means more criminal violence. These operators are living proof that training, discipline, and firearms go hand in hand.
The Trump administration should throw its full weight behind this legislation. Get it to the floor, get it passed, and send a message that America honors its warriors with more than a bumper sticker.
If your congressman isn't co-sponsoring this bill yet, call their office Monday morning and ask them why not.
