The Gun Control Lobby Is Losing — And They Know It.

29 states are now Constitutional Carry. Bruen has killed a decade of restrictions in two years. Read the panic between their press releases.

If you only read their press releases, you'd think the anti-gun movement was about to run the table. Ads on every streamer, 'March For Our Lives' reunions, a revolving door of retired generals nodding gravely on cable. It feels like momentum.

It isn't. It's smoke.

Since 2022, 29 states have passed or retained Constitutional Carry. Bruen has taken out a New York magazine ban, a California assault-weapon regulation, the bump stock rule, the pistol brace rule, and is queued to gut federal handgun age limits. The federal appeals courts — including two circuits that used to be reliably hostile — are writing opinions that cite the Second Amendment text first and intermediate-scrutiny balancing tests nowhere. That is a structural loss for the other side, and they are not equipped to recover from it quickly.

What they still have is money and narrative. Bloomberg's network will keep buying ads. The White House will keep holding ceremonies. And every time there is a tragedy, the same coalition will appear in matching t-shirts to demand the same policies that courts are currently setting on fire.

Don't confuse noise for victory — theirs or yours. The fight we are winning in the courts we are losing in the culture, because the other side has a communications budget and we have a meme page. That gap closes when gun owners stop treating self-defense as private embarrassment and start treating it as ordinary civic life. Carry. Train. Bring a new shooter. Fund the litigation. Name the politicians.

They are losing. They know it. Help them admit it.

"You do not spend a billion dollars a decade winning a fight. You spend it losing one — slowly, loudly, on camera."
