Feds Charge Iraq Vet & GunTube Legend Dugan Ashley

Jordan Derrick. Iraq War Army veteran. The man behind CarniK Con—'Carnivorous Kinetic Concepts'—who spent over a decade making firearms culture funny, accessible, and human to millions of fans. He now faces federal charges in the Western District.

The alleged offense? Publishing educational videos on energetic materials.

**Let that land for a second.**

Not trafficking weapons. Not hurting a single person. Videos. The same category of information discussed in military field manuals, chemistry textbooks, and across platforms the feds apparently have zero interest in touching.

The government scanned the GunTube landscape—a universe of creators, educators, and veterans sharing knowledge—and decided Dugan Ashley was the threat worth making an example of.

This is the play. It has always been the play.

Target a creator. Make it expensive. Make it public. Make every other voice in the 2A space wonder whether they're next. You don't have to silence everyone if you can make everyone silence themselves.

**Dugan Ashley didn't run a cartel. He ran a YouTube channel.**

And now he needs the same wall of support the community built for Kyle Rittenhouse, for Railgun Randy, and for every other person the system tried to grind into dust.

A legal defense fund is active for Derrick right now. Find it. Hit it. Share this story everywhere you can.

The feds are counting on the community to scroll past and move on. The only answer to that bet is to prove them violently wrong.

Watch this case. It will tell you exactly how far the government thinks it can go—and how much the 2A community is willing to fight back.
