Buck Put a Crossbar Lock on the 110 and 112 — and Shipped It Today

Buck Knives, through The Outdoor Wire on September 15, 2026, announced the 110 and 112 Crossbar Elite. The knives keep the clip-point profiles of the Folding Hunter and the Ranger and move the lock to a one-handed, ambidextrous crossbar with a thumbstud, sharpening choil, and a reversible deep-carry pocket clip. Buck says the result is slimmer, lighter, and more pocketable than the lockback originals.

Steel is MagnaCut with Buck’s BOS heat treatment. Handles are Cerakoted aluminum with Macassar ebony inlays. Dual thumbstuds. Reversible, removable deep-carry clip. USA-made in Post Falls, Idaho, with Buck’s Forever Warranty. The knives debuted at Blade Show 2026 in Atlanta and, per the release, “officially launch September 15, 2026, through Buck Knives and participating Authorized Buck Knives Retailers.” The Outdoor Wire copy does not list MSRP, weights, or blade lengths. Those numbers are not in this story because they are not in the release.

This is a product launch, not a field test. The 110’s brass-and-lockback identity is the thing collectors argue about. Buck is selling a different mechanism on the same outline, in a steel the EDC market already treats as a benchmark, from the same Idaho shop. If you want the lockback, that catalog is still the other 110. If you want one-hand MagnaCut on the old silhouette, today is the listed street date.
