Bill Would Give Vets Nationwide Carry Rights Like Feds
Combat-proven veterans deserve the same concealed carry rights already held by federal law enforcement — this bill delivers.
Congress is moving to extend nationwide concealed carry rights to qualified military veterans — the same rights already held by FBI agents and federal marshals who carry coast to coast without restriction.
Under the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), qualified active and retired law enforcement carry concealed in all 50 states. Veterans who carried weapons in defense of this nation have been excluded from that protection entirely — until now.
The legislation treats those who defended this country with the same legal standing as federal law enforcement. The logic is straightforward: if you trusted someone enough to hand them an M4 and send them downrange, you can trust them to carry a pistol at home.
Anti-gun state governments in California, New York, and Illinois have spent years erecting barriers against law-abiding citizens exercising their Second Amendment rights. This federal legislation would bulldoze those barriers for the men and women who earned it most.
Veterans rank among the most trained, disciplined, and responsible gun owners in America. Armed law-abiding citizens deter criminal violence — and no demographic is better prepared to do that than those who served.
Every pro-Second Amendment lawmaker should sprint to co-sponsor this bill. No veteran who bled for this flag should be disarmed by a state politician who never wore a uniform.
Contact your representative today and demand they support nationwide concealed carry rights for veterans. These patriots earned it — make it law.
