Aero lowers and BA barrels sit in a lot of working rifles. A family buyer is better news than a liquidator — only if the backlog actually moves.
  • Company announcement: Aero Precision, Ballistic Advantage, Stag Arms, and VG6 have left private-equity ownership for a family investment group. Buyers unnamed. Terms undisclosed.
  • Adviser: W.G. Nielsen & Co., Denver.
  • Aero acknowledges a “significant backlog” and says manufacturing and supply chains are ramping; availability to increase over coming months. No production schedule.
  • Quote: “We know rebuilding trust doesn’t happen with a press release. We have to earn it. And we will.”
  • This is a corporate update, not a product launch and not a claim that dealer shelves are already full.

Aero Precision published “A New Era” on its site. Aero Precision, Ballistic Advantage, Stag Arms, and VG6 “are now under new ownership by a passionate family investment group.” The company does not name the buyers or the price. W.G. Nielsen & Co., a Denver investment bank, served as financial adviser.

The apology is in the first screen: “Financial and operational challenges affected our ability to manufacture products, fulfill orders, support our partners, and provide the level of service our customers expect.” The new owners are described as outdoor and firearms enthusiasts, supporters of military and veteran communities, and people with “a strong belief in and commitment to the Second Amendment.”

Immediate priorities listed by the company: return manufacturing to full strength; restore vendor relationships; “fulfill our significant backlog of existing orders and commitments”; restore consistent product availability; rebuild trust; invest in people and American manufacturing. “Customers can expect product availability to steadily increase over the coming months.” There is no SKU list and no ship date.

The line Aero put in display type: “We know rebuilding trust doesn’t happen with a press release. We have to earn it. And we will.” That is the whole story for anyone who waited on a lower, a barrel, or a customer-service ticket through receivership. The brands are still the brands. The inventory is the test.

"Four brands changed hands. Aero said the quiet part: trust is earned in shipments, not in a landing page."
